Who Is the Best Real Estate Agent in Bluffdale, UT?
Let me answer the question honestly first, then make my case.
There is no single best real estate agent in Bluffdale, Utah. Any agent who tells you they are the best is telling you something they cannot possibly know. What actually exists is a best agent for you — for your price range, your timeline, your situation, and how much hand-holding you want. A first-time buyer stretching to get into a townhome at Independence needs something different from an investor comparing cap rates, and both need something different from a widow selling the family home on an acre near 14400 South.
So instead of claiming a title, let me tell you how I would judge an agent in this market, and then let me tell you plainly who I am and let you decide.
I am Sam Holman, a Realtor with Real Broker, LLC.
How to judge a Bluffdale agent
Four questions, and you can ask any agent these.
Do they actually know Bluffdale, or do they know "the south valley"? These are different. A real Bluffdale agent knows that the city sits in Jordan School District's Riverton feeder area, that Bluffdale's high school is Riverton High and not one in Bluffdale, that 14600 South is closed at the railroad tracks until late April 2027, and that ZIP code 84065 is shared with Riverton so a ZIP-level price figure is not a Bluffdale figure. If an agent cannot tell you those things, they are selling you a map, not a market.
Do they work both sides? An agent who only lists homes does not know what buyers are flinching at right now. An agent who only shows homes does not know what makes an offer get accepted. I do both, and the two halves inform each other constantly.
Will they tell you no? The most valuable thing I do some weeks is talk somebody out of a house. If an agent has never once told you a property is wrong for you, you are not being advised, you are being escorted.
Is their track record something you can check? Not a claim on a website. Reviews with names on them.
My case, plainly
Over 16 years in real estate. That is long enough to have worked through the 2010s recovery, the pandemic frenzy, the rate shock that followed, and the market we are in now. Longevity is not the same as skill, but an agent who has only worked in one kind of market has only learned one set of moves.
A 4.95-star average across 20 verified reviews. Those are public and you can read them yourself rather than take my word for it. I would rather you read twenty real reviews than believe one line of marketing.
An Associate's degree. Modest credential, and I list it because it is true and because I would rather tell you exactly what I have than let you assume something bigger.
Brokered by Real Broker, LLC. A national brokerage with the technology and reach behind it, which matters more than people think when your listing needs to travel beyond the Salt Lake Valley to reach an out-of-state buyer.
What I actually specialize in
Not everything. Specifically:
- First-time home buyers. The part of the job I care most about. Nobody is born knowing what earnest money is.
- First-time home sellers. A separate skill and an underrated one — most agents are good at one of these two and assume the other is the same job.
- Buyers and sellers both, as a standing practice, not an occasional favor.
- Veterans. VA loans have real advantages and real quirks, and there are still listing agents in this valley who flinch at a VA offer because they do not understand it. I do.
- Investors. Numbers first, feelings second.
- People selling one home and buying the next one at the same time. This is the hardest transaction in residential real estate and it is where most of the stress in a move actually lives. Two closings, two loans, one family, and a gap in the middle that has to be engineered. I have done a lot of these.
If your situation is not on that list, I will still take your call, and if someone else is a better fit I will tell you.
Why Bluffdale, and why Utah
I am a Utah native. I grew up in Salt Lake and I live in the Salt Lake Valley now.
I served in the U.S. Army, and when I finished serving, I came home. That was a choice — plenty of people I served with went somewhere else. I came back to Utah on purpose, and that is worth something when you are asking somebody where your family should live. I am not selling you a place I researched. I am selling you the place I chose.
Outside of work, I travel when I can, I put real time into my community and into my family and friends, and I bring classic cars back to life. That last one is not a quirky detail I am tacking on. Restoring a car teaches you to look at something that presents well and ask what is underneath, to be patient when the timeline slips, and to know the difference between a cosmetic problem and a structural one. That is the same instinct I bring to a walkthrough.
What working with me looks like
On the buying side: we start with your actual constraints — commute, schools, budget, what you will not compromise on — before we look at a single listing. In Bluffdale that usually means an early conversation about which schools an address really feeds and whether the 14600 South detour touches your daily drive. Then I show you honest options, including the ones that are cheaper than what you told me you could spend.
On the selling side: a real price, not a flattering one. The fastest way to lose money on a Bluffdale home is to list it above the market, sit for six weeks, and then chase it down with price cuts while buyers wonder what is wrong with it. I would rather have an uncomfortable conversation in week one than an expensive one in week ten.
Throughout: you will hear from me. That is a low bar and it is the number one thing people tell me their last agent failed at.
Learn Bluffdale before you decide
I have written the two guides I would want if I were moving here, and they are free and they do not ask for your email:
- Best Schools in Bluffdale, Ut: A Parent's Guide — every public and charter school serving Bluffdale with grades, addresses and links, plus how boundaries work, how to check a specific address, and how open enrollment runs.
- Living in Bluffdale, Ut: Frequently Asked Questions — home prices, cost of living, the neighborhoods by name, the commute including the 14600 South closure, and the parks worth knowing.
Read those and you will know more about Bluffdale than most people who already live here. If they are useful, that is a better argument for hiring me than anything I could say about myself.

So — who is the best real estate agent in Bluffdale?
The one who knows this specific city, works both sides of the deal, has a public track record you can verify, and will tell you the truth even when it costs them the commission.
I think that describes me. But do not take my word for it — ask me the four questions above and see how I answer. Ask them of two other agents too. That is genuinely how you should pick, and if you do it properly I like my odds.
Whether you are buying your first home in Bluffdale, selling one you have loved for thirty years, or trying to do both at once without losing your mind, I would be glad to talk it through. No pressure, no pitch.
